Hi! I’m Brandon Z. Fitz, and I’m the author of The Fat Melting Program. For a long time, I struggled with overweight. I had many health problems because of my weight throughout my entire life. I tried many programs – Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers and Low-carb, High-protein, Vegetarian, Mediterranean, Anti-diet and see-food diets (I’d see food and eat it) – just to end up very disappointed.
I’m not a doctor. I’m not a nutritionist. But for more than 18 years, I’ve helped more than 20,000 people in more than 40 countries with their weight problems.
I have a sister and a wife who went through high levels of depression because of their weight, and I really set my mind to change their life for good. They are my inspiration for this work and for the many years of research and writing.
The Fat Melting Program is the result of all this. It’s a compilation of all the experiences I had, not just with my family, but also with many people around the world. One day, many years ago, I found myself giving so much advice to people who thought they knew everything and who wouldn’t listen to me, that I decided to sit down and write about everything I knew, everything I learned and everything I wanted to share with people to give them a better, healthier lifestyle.
I visited many doctors and nutritionists. I bought all the weight-loss programs and books you can imagine – and I read them all. I even had liposuction. Yet nothing ever worked for me. Every time I went on a diet, I’d get excited and lost weight, but after a while, I’d get bored with the food and gained the weight back.
I realized that what I was doing was completely wrong and what I needed was a system that would help me change my lifestyle. I was not a bodybuilder nor did I want to be. I was not a certified trainer, nor did I want to be. I was just a normal person with a very big problem who was trying to get through life, feeling that I couldn’t do anything else.
I couldn’t follow advice from bodybuilders, they work their ass off at the gym, and their goal is to lift weights to get ripped. I couldn’t follow advice from any more doctors. I saw them all, and they are way too expensive and they all seem to say the same thing. It sometimes even looks like they don’t want you to lose your weight to solve your problem so that you keep coming back and giving them more business. All I wanted was a healthier lifestyle and a different life so that I could be able to share my experiences with many others who have the same weight problems.
I didn’t want to sell 1 million copies of my book. I didn’t want to get published on the New York Times Best Seller List. And I was certainly not looking for any fame. I know what it’s like to struggle through weight problems, and I don’t want anyone to go through what I’ve gone through. It’s as simple as that.
So, that’s who I am – a simple guy who went through a lot of weight problems, who tried everything out there and who had to come up with his own system – a system that so far has helped so many people out there that I don’t even know. But I’m really happy that they have all managed to come ahead.
